To begin instruction, individuals are asked to share academic strengths and challenges, learning styles, and any goals for instruction.
Instruction is student centered, and is taught with a scaffolded approach that guides individuals by introducing a skill, modeling together, and moving toward independent mastery.
Andrea’s goal is to provide the skills for students to be as independent as possible in the academic experience.
In order for instruction to be as successful as possible, students are encouraged to meet a minimum of 4 sessions to build understanding, practice, and application of skills.
Individual instruction schedules are different for each student, and the main questions to consider when scheduling instruction:
-How often do I want to work with Andrea? once a week? twice a week? or more?
-How long do I want to receive help? 4 weeks? 1 semester?
